Info: If you only have one meal to try all portuguese food this is the place to go. They have most of the portuguese tradional dishes and all appetizers and deserts you can imagine. Everything is included. I am normaly not a big fan of buffet restaurants but this one is the best i have been too. Also good for bigger groups an d parties. Try it !

Again a very nice surprise we had several very good meals there. The steak with gorgonzola sauce is delicious and they have a strawberry sangria that is very good (only when there is fresh strawberries)

Nice big spacy restaurant portuguese style. Large portions of good food. The eal that a friend ate was very nice, as was my tbone steak, the other dishes served on our table where beef in cream sauce, suckling pig and roasted pork leg. Tried them all and were all good :) and the service is friendly. mmm: ***

Great location and good food. For me the best in the oeiras marina area. The toast (very big toasted sandwiches, salads, burgers and pitas are very good. The service is friendly and they just reopend after doubling their inside space... think this is going to inprove speed on the service (used to be slow when the outside area was full) It is good and the prices acceptable for such a nice location.

Great location but go there for a coffee, a special coffee or a drink... the mix drinks or a beer. The food menu is limited they have a few specials daily but nothing special. It was ok but there is better close by if you want to go for that meal. Again this place is not bad but it did not impress.

Great location bad food small drinks. Go here when all places are full and you are desperate. The service is ok the quality of the food is very poor... ordered a filet steak with green pepper sauce received one with mustard sauce... send it back received same steak same sauce with peppercorns on top... for 15 euros this is stealing certainly when there is other places so close where you can have a better meal. And the fries were cold... the salad was a big plate with green letuce and 2 slices of tomato no seasoning. Ok it was busy but anyway this is very bad... my friends had calamares (small portion of mediocre quality) and the duck rice (arroz de pato) dry but ok-ish

a typical churrasqueira hidden away in the CC. Not a fancy dinner place but great for a quick meal on the go. We go and get fresh grilled chicken there and entrecosta (ribs) Writing about it makes me already hungry. The chickens are good size there... for take out i hear you say who cares cause you pay per kilo... but hey skinny catwalk chickens have hardly any meat and are very dry... the chicken here is GOOD.

I am personally not a so keen on italian food... but it was fun "suffering" through this restaurant

info: Good restaurant, excellent location. We had been here a twice before i started to do the blog during the summer months when you can sit outside on the large terrace. The view is very nice the saint Julian castle on one side and the sea and the yacht club on the other side. In the summer you can also enjoy de view of the sunbathing beauties. But we are here to talk about food. I guess without the location I would be less generous with the stars. It is not so perfect ! The meal is always more than acceptable but there is always a slide… this time we got cold fries and the açorda (a typical Portuguese bread mash try it it taste better than it sounds and looks had too much garlic but plenty shrimp) again not bad but not perfect ... Friendly service. You can call ahead to make reservations. Never tried the place for dinner I like it as a lunch place. What is the use to go to a place with a view when it is dark ? Lots of variety both in fish and meat dishes. Açorda and seafood rice dishes are a specialty. I liked the tuna with pepper sauce.

info: V ery good restaurant. We had been here before i started to do the blog but i did not have the adress or anything... that is why i have not written about it. But it is worth the wait and worth the visit. Tasty apetizers and homemade deserts and in between a vast choise of main courses. Sounds a familiar recepy but it is brought here very well. Good friendly service no frills but you can pick this place for every ocasion, with friends, family or even a business dinner nice enough but abolutely no pretention. The main courses are devided in a meat, fish and shelfish selection but on top of that there are more than 10 daily specials! Go there and enjoy a taste of portugal at his best.

info: spectacular view to the lisbon "25 april" bridge and the sea. It is the biggest establishment in that area besides the rio's. The boss or maitre d'hotel made a big mistake making us feel real unwelcome when he came to tell us the table we were sitting was reserved. There was no sign or nobody told us when we were sitting down. Probably my angry face made him change his mind. We could stay at the table. The food was only so-so. My dish was good, i had 'polvo guisado' but my guests did not seem too happy. A mixed toast (from a separate menu; apparantly they have a different menu for outside and inside) was very dry but this was after they politely took it back to the kitchten after bringing it out the first time cause the guest just started there fishsoup that they chose as a first. Another of my guests received a small not so nice looking steak. A more pricy dish, but a very taste fish was the "goraz". I never heard of this fish before but it was a nice grilled fish. Very robalinho like. . Peter or the sports bar or sportbar or whatever the name is; has to get their act straight. They only opened a couple of weeks ago so let us give them some credit, we will keep you posted. But being friendly to guest and not telling them off is a first rule. Make them feel ok and then giving them good food would make this place a big succes cause it is very well located.

info: Good suckling pig restaurant. Something different If you like suckling pig or you never tried it then give it a go. It is quite good. If you do not plan on trying it don't go tru the effort. Unless you like to see the countryside north of Lisboa. A pleasant ride and not too far. It is part of the city of Sintra but still a 20 km drive form the center of Sintra. Service was ok, there was a waiting line outside. Specially on sundays this is a very popular destination for sunday lunch.
Try it not bad at all and something different !

info: Good restaurant. A trendy restaurant but without the finishing touch. The waiters are not so very well trained but ok. The dishes are ok but noting whaoaw. We have been 3 times but did not receive a good table yet. Guess you have to know somebody to get the better tables.
Worth trying though great view and even a better view if you get a good table !

info: a very nice location, the set up is more than pleasant enough, live piano. This could be the start of a great revieuw but what a let down. I was so disappointed with my first visit i went again cause it would be so nice to have a great restaurant with that live music atmosfere close by. But oh man ! How can waiters be so horrible. Older gentlemen who know it all and try to push the clients to behave the way they like. We were pushed to the dishes they liked to recommend... they did not like us taking a drink before dinner and enjoy our company. No or duty was to listen to the waiters and make our choise. Preferably fish... It made me so upset we almost had to be impolite ! Because me and my friend decide to share a 'chateaubriand' for two we were punished receiving a high quality peace of meat (rather small) but abolutely tasteless. No salt no condiments.
They need to fix this place up. Make the older waiters aware that there was a revolution in 1974 and that people love to be treated nice. They are there to please the client not the other way around.
I would almost say go see if you like to ordered around and like to have a meal like you did in board school.

info: Excelent international restaurant. Is called cafeteria cause they have also a fine dining restaurant and a sushi bar in the same location. The cafeteria is a very elegant modern restaurant with a view on the river Tejo. Excelent service very nice young ambiance with style! The staff is very well trained and polite. Menus in several languages. This restaurant could be in any trendy city !!! But they do not forget they are in Portugal. For the narrowminded international travelers you have some no risk dishes but why not try the portuguese specialities served in a rather original way. The serve culinary versions of the national dishes.
Not cheap but worth every Euro. One of my favorites for those special ocasions !

We visit this restaurant several times per year, and they never let us down.

Note that there is three parts in this building, a sushi restaurant, the cafetaria (were we always go) that now features some sushi dishes (best sushi and sashimi i had in lisbon) and the restaurant a more formal part with more formal attitude and a slightly different menu (a little more expensive)
