info: Cabo de roca is one of the traditionals to visit on a extended visit to lisbon. Combined with sintra or cascais it can be a very nice day out. Pao de trigo is the ideal place to reload the bateries. Right on the street leading to cabo de Roca, about 3 kms back inland in the first village called Azoia. This restaurant is very rustic has good food and reasonable prices. Meat on a skewer, chicken, fish everything we tried was very good. Visit cabo de roca and have lunch here you will not regret.
During our last visit we were not very happy with the service the man who served us was very unfriendly and run around like he was in a very bad mood... customers should no see this this ruins there good feeling about the restaurant. (the food was good) So they will get another chance... if you go here tell us about your service experience.

We had to try it... the location is fantastic and it seems to have a full parking lot every time we pass. A rolls royce in the parking lot makes it clear the happy few gather here. It is a very nice place and with a italian cuisine with portuguese and brazilian influences they seem to have a pretty good menu with lots of pizza pasta and beef dishes. For the fish and shelfish lovers some dishes are provided as well. You are difficult if you can not find anything to you taste. It is not cheap but not overpriced eather. There is a price for this prime oceanvieuw location with a good size parking lot. We liked it but it is not the every day tasca more like an ocasion restaurant to go with friends or to celabrate something. It has got that more sofisticated feel to it.

They also serve for take-away and this service seems pretty succesfull too. Try the grilled t-bone (costeleta de novilho) or the espetada saloia (large beef skewer enough for 2) or the ribs (entrecosta) also the fish is very fresh looks very good.
A good idea is sharing a fish dish followed by a meat dish. Fish by the kilo can give you a pricier bill but if you like grilled fish go for it.

It really is a fun place. But the service is beyond standard. It seems that the full staf is brasileiro. Off course there is exceptions to the rule but normally they are poorly trained, underpaid and very disorganized and not focussed on the job. They are friendly but it gets on my nerves when they ask you twice or three times what you ordered, when they come with plates you did not order,... They come and look at the menu with you cause they do not really know what is on there. Sorry i am on a roll but this place got so much potencial. Prime ocean view, roomy restaurant with a fantastic outside dining area, nice lounge music and the food is not that cheap but very good. Owners, please train your staff ! We really want to go back cause of the view the location and the food.

Very good sushi and teppan-yaki (food cooked on hot plate) self service restaurant in buffet form. The teppan-yaki is prepared in front of you. The sushi and sashimi arrives constantly. Also some fried vegetables, shrimp and chicken (tempura) A little cheaper for lunch than for dinner but always a good deal. We like it a lot and been there several times. This restaurant is better qualitiy than the food on a belt place that we visited and talked about before. Finding a parking space can be a little more difficult. Also take away if you want to eat sushi a little more private :). We have a preference for the Samurai restaurants were they serve at the table from a menu as many dishes as you can eat for about the same price. Then you always receive the hot dishes hot and the sushi and sashimi at the minute fresh.
Strange this restaurant does not show up in the yellow pages nor on the net.

The different dishes for our table came with 5 minute intervals ... bad... and diferent dishes come with exactly the same garnish... 2 disturbing mistakes in a otherwise superb restaurant. The food is very good. I wish i could talk to the chef so he could work on the presentation... it would be a definately five star place. But forget about my bitching go there and enjoy the visit of the vineyard, the caves and the restaurant, you will love it. And the wines, my favourite is the single cast syrah but off course the reservas and private reservas are excelent !

It is a good restaurant to go for a business dinner, something with older family members but it is not stylish, trendy, in at all. But i think these places have to exist too. Info: If you only have one meal to try all portuguese food this is the place to go. They have most of the portuguese tradional dishes and all appetizers and deserts you can imagine. Everything is included. I am normaly not a big fan of buffet restaurants but this one is the best i have been too. Also good for bigger groups an d parties. Try it !
